Company Profiler scores companies on AI readiness — how prepared they are for the AI transition. Think of it like a credit score, but for AI adoption. We analyze: AI hiring intensity — Who's building AI teams and how fast R&D investment — Actual spend on AI research and development Public AI initiatives — Announced products, partnerships, strategy Competitive positioning — How they stack up vs industry peers Each company gets a Master AI Score (0-100) based on these factors. 500+ Companies Scored 15 Industries 50K+ Data Points Why I Built It I spent 25 years as a product executive (Spotify, Fubo, Axios, Viacom). Every company I worked with struggled to answer the same question: "How are we actually doing on AI compared to our competitors?" Not PR announcements. Not vague "AI strategy" slides. Real data on: Are we hiring AI talent at the same pace as competitors? Is our R&D investment in AI competitive? Which companies in our industry are actually ahead? Company Profiler answers these questions with data. Key Insights We've Found Tech companies aren't automatically ahead. Some legacy enterprises are out-hiring and out-spending "AI native" companies. The gap is widening. Companies scoring 80+ are pulling away from those scoring below 50. Hiring is the leading indicator. AI job postings predict R&D spend 6-12 months ahead. Industry variance is huge. Software companies average 75/100. Retail averages 42/100. We combine four factors: AI hiring intensity (40%), R&D investment (30%), public AI initiatives (20%), and competitive positioning (10%). Data comes from job postings, SEC filings, earnings calls, and public announcements. Full methodology is on the site. Q: Is this just based on press releases? No — we focus on hard data. AI hiring comes from actual job postings. R&D spend comes from SEC filings. We weight announced initiatives lower than demonstrated investment. Q: How often is the data updated? Hiring data updates daily. Financial data updates quarterly. AI adoption scores are recalculated weekly. We're working on real-time feeds for major announcements. Q: Can I download the data? Not yet, but we're considering an API. If you're a researcher or journalist and need data access, email me: [email protected] Q: What's the business model? Right now it's free. Eventually we may add premium features (API access, detailed reports, custom benchmarking). The core scoring will stay free.
